Waiting on God
The prophet Habakkuk devoted his entire book to the justice of God in his nation. He initially poured out his complaint regarding what he perceived as the Lord not bringing about justice. When the prophet asked when He would act, God responded, “If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed (Habakkuk 2:3). As modern-day activists claim to demonstrate for justice, be discerning in your opinions and conclusions. The various ideas of social justice that are espoused in contemporary society may not agree with the Word of the Lord and His justice. Humanity is not inclined to “wait patiently“ and trust in God’s plans. Pray to the Lord and praise Him for the work He is doing that you do not yet see!
